The central purpose that guides the MVCS Scholarship Program is to enable students to attend a private Christian school who otherwise would not be able to do so. Within that purpose, we believe as an educational institution we should give special consideration to those students who demonstrate excellence in various areas.

The program is driven by Monte Vista Christian School's mission to provide young people with a sound academic education while learning the moral and spiritual values of Christianity as taught in the Bible.

Processing of scholarship applications for the 2008-09 academic year will begin February 18, 2008.

The scholarship application deadline for priority consideration of available funds is April 15, 2008. Scholarship applications made after April 15 will be considered based on remaining funds in the programs. Scholarship awards will be announced by the end of May 2008.

Students may apply for more than one scholarship; however, no student may be awarded more than one scholarship at a time.

Scholarships are only awarded for one year at a time. Therefore, a new scholarship application must be submitted yearly with all the supporting documentation, and students must continue to demonstrate excellence and be in good standing with the school in all aspects.
