Dear Parents and Students,
You’ve come to the right place for the
The books which students read this summer will provide the discussion, testing and/or essay writing material during the first week of school in August, so please encourage your student to follow through with both the reading and writing assignments this summer.
The focus of summer reading is a greater exposure to classic and contemporary literature. The works considered as “classics” are written in a manner that is important for study at this level, and our aim is to expose the students to both classics and award winning young adult fiction. The works will be discussed in the classroom setting with an emphasis on characterization, theme lines and plot structures, and their application to students’ personal experiences.
Have a great summer and please remember that in your spare time - if you find yourself getting a bit bored with all of your free moments- PICK UP A BOOK AND READ!
Blessings on your summer!
