*Club Information Day: Today September 7th, during lunch in front of the cafe.

*Dance Auditions:  We need 5 female and 5 male high school students who have a dance background.  The students will be filmed for our upcoming commercial.  Auditions will be held Friday, September 10th, during Advisory period in the Middle School Gym.  An example of the commercial is located at http://www.yourtube.com/watch?v=1JhyjQQ9Pcw  If interested, contact Mrs. Castillo at 722-8178 x103.

*Community Service Reminder:  Students all Community Service has to be preapproved by Mr. Miles. 

*Homecoming Week: September 13th through the 17th.

*Homecoming Dance:  Will be held on Friday September, 17th after the Varsity football game.  All Students are invited.  The cost is $7.00 at the door and $5.00 with the ASB sticker.  The Dance will be in the Gym.  No outside guest are allowed.  If parents still want to get an ASB sticker,  it can be purchased in the Business Office.  

*Cabrillo College is hosting a College and Career Night 2010.  Monday November 1st, 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  For more information call 477-5650 or email www.collegecareernight.com

*MVVA:  Registration and enrollment for MVVA Classes will begin on Tuesday, September 7th.  Pick your registration form up in Student Services.

*California Scholarship Federation forms for 2009-2010, 2nd Semester are now available in Student Services.  Forms are for 11th and 12th grade students only.  They must be submitted by September 17th, 2010 for CSF membership Fall 2010.  For additional information, contact Mrs. Blackburn in Student Services.

*Junior and Senior nights are coming in September  Junior Day Students will be September 20nd, Senior Day Students will be September 28th.  Junior Resident Students will be September 22nd and Senior Resident Students will be September 29th. Junior and Senior Nights will start at 6:30 and end at 8:00 in the Middle School Performing Arts Room. 

*Baseball Fundraiser: The Baseball team will be selling rubber wristbands for $2 this fall:  Blue, black and white Monte Vista Christian School Mustangs. See Coach Don Keathley or one of the Mustang baseball players to order your wristband.

*Seniors:  Deadline for senior photos is October 1st.  This means that you must have your photo taken by that date.  Call Covello and Covello for your appointment at 831-423-2922.

*National Honor Society:  Great Showing at the September 2nd, meeting.  Be sure to stop up next Thursday, September 9th at lunch to vote for your favorite candidate and to join a committee.  This is a required meeting if you are on NHS.

*National Honor Society News:  Be sure to print off and fill out your application for the National Honor Society.  You will find it on the MV Website under Academic Forms.  Applications are due in Student Services on September 27th.

*Senior Dedication Stop by Student Services for a form for Senior Dedications in the yearbook.  The deadline to reserve and pay for your senior dedication is November 1st.  See Mrs. Basilius if you have questions. 

*Pictures of Graduation will be posted on the Covello and Covello website a few days after Graduation.  Vist the website at:  http://www.covellocovello.com then click, View Events. 

Athletics

*Student Trainers wanted: Open to 9th-12th grade MVCS Students only.   Must attend all practice and games.  You will also receive a t-shirt .  Please contact the Athletic office.  

Community Service

*EternityWorks Youth N.O.W. (No Other Way) High School Student Volunteers needed to serve as peer tutors.  Community Service credit is available.  Information is available in Student Services.  Please contact Dave Grazian at 831-708-8605.
