Scholarship Applications

Each scholarship has limited funding. Financial Aid/Scholarship applications submitted by the MVCS Preferred Filing Date of February 15, 2011 will be given first consideration from the available funds, and we'll announce the awards in March 2011.

There are four steps that need to be completed before being considered for any kind of scholarship. It is important that you complete every step by February 15, 2011.  If one of the steps is missing, your application will be placed on hold until all forms have been turned in. 

These are the steps for applying for scholarships:
No application will be considered until ALL three steps have been completed.

1. For Each Applicant

Current Monte Vista students, please proceed to step 2.


If you are new to Monte Vista Christian School, you must complete the admission application process in addition to completing steps 2 through 4 for Financial Aid/Scholarship application.   For questions on applying to Monte Vista Christian School, please contact our admissions office at (831)722-8178 ext. 137.  You may also click here to get to the admissions page on the website.

2. For Each Scholarship  (Application deadline expired)

Select ONE scholarship for which you qualify. Please fill out an application online or print the application form, fill it out, and mail it to the Business Office at Monte Vista Christian School.

The Financial Aid Scholarship Program offers partial tuition scholarships based on need.  Allocations are made according to available funds.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Board of Trustees Leadership Scholarship Program offers partial tuition scholarships to outstanding students who demonstrate leadership abilities and the potential for further leadership while at Monte Vista Christian School.

PASTOR'S DEPENDENTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Pastors' Dependents Scholarship Program offers partial tuition scholarships to parents who are serving in ministry.  To qualify for the discount, the student's parent must be a licensed pastor and actively working in church ministry a minimum of 30 hours per week. A re-application is needed each year.
(Step 3 and 4 are NOT required for Pastor's Dependents Scholarship Program)

3.  Letter of Reference 
Please print out the Letter of Reference and give the Letter of Reference to an unrelated adult who knows you well. After the form has been completed, please mail the form to the Business Office at 2 School Way, Watsonville, CA 95076.

4.  For Each Family
Since all MVCS scholarships have a need-based component, every family will be asked to complete a confidential financial profile.   All financial information will be submitted through a confidential third party to evaluate financial need.

Once your financial information has been submitted online, please remember to mail copies of your W2's, 2010 State and Federal tax returns, and all schedules for verification to the address below:
