APPLICATIONS FOR 2017-2018 are still being accepted with very limited availability for the current school year. Qualified applicants will be admitted on the basis of best fit for any available space.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2018-2019 will begin to be processed after October 1, 2017.

Please submit:
• Current English Teacher Evaluation
• Current Math Teacher Evaluation
• 2 years grade history (current and previous year end)

Copies of grade reports from home are sufficient, however if a formal request is necessary at your current school, please click the link below for a request form.

Step 3 – Testing

Once your application has been submitted (Step 1), we will contact you to select your preferred assessment date. A Request for Assessment form will be sent to you at the appropriate time. Available assessment dates are:

    • Sat., November 4 @ 9:30 am
    • Thurs., November 16 @ 3:45 pm
    • Sun., December 3 @ 12:45 pm
    • Thurs., December 14 @ 3:45 pm
    • Thurs., January 4 @ 3:45 pm
    • Sat., January 20 @ 9:30 am
    • Thurs., February 1 @ 3:45 pm
This assessment is free for all applicants.

Step 4 – Student Interview

Upon the completion of Steps 1 through 3 of the admissions process, we will contact you to schedule a family interview with a school administrator.

What's required upon enrollment

Enrollment Requirements

Birth Certificate: required to be a part of every admitted student's permanent record.


California Immunization Requirements: Prior to attending MVC, every student must provide current immunization records indicating compliance with the immunization requirements below.

POLIO: 3 doses if given on or after 2nd birthday, otherwise 4 doses

DTP (Td, DT, or DPT, DTaP):3 doses if 1 given on or after 2nd birthday, otherwise 4 doses - 4th dose must be Tdap

MMR: 1 dose on or after 1st birthday, otherwise 2 doses

NOTE: Applicants for Grade 7; 2 doses of MMR or any measles-containing vaccine (both doses given on or after 1st birthday)

HEPATITIS B: 3 doses

VARICELLA (CHICKENPOX): 1 dose for ages 7-12, 2 doses for ages 13-17 years.
TB TEST: Recommended

NOTE: Required for international students: Negative TB test or normal chest x-ray within 5 years of enrollment at MVC.
