In March 2009, Monte Vista Christian School completed a self-study report in preparation for our evaluation by the ACSI/WASC Accreditation by School Progress team. A link to the full report is available below.
We were one of the pioneering schools to utilize the Accreditation by School Progress format.
We wanted to give everyone a voice in creating our future, and we involved over 100 members of our school community in this process. We heard from people outside of our usual groups. Good questions helped us shape more effective solutions, and opened the door for creative ideas. We went exploring through our two Summits, through our Survey, through our multi-disciplinary Standards committees, and with our Board. Together we made some wonderful discoveries.
The format provided by ACSI allowed us to create a focused School-wide Improvement Plan using the 10 Accreditation Standards in alignment with our vision. We created a blueprint for action using measurable goals and objectives.
The School-wide Improvement Plan is bold and the pace is brisk and it is where we are going.
