Elevate The Everyday Photo Workshop
As our high tech world spins with the speed of a whirly-gig twirling in the wind, it is essential that we become people who can slow down and capture the moments of life as well. The aim of my Elevate the Everyday Workshop is to give us time to pause and capture the beauty with a thankful heart.
There will be nature photography (which means we will be going for walks), trick photography (which means we will be having fun), food photography (which means there will be homemade food for the eating), self portraiture (which means you will be a star), and photo journalism (which means we will be looking for stories to tell).
Bring your fancy digital camera, or your smart phone and your iPad. We will have our own Flickr group to share and critique photos taken during the class.....and maybe even beyond....
Tina Ratliff @ M-9 PM Class - Fee: None Class Size: 15 students
Required materials: 40 to 50 pictures on a USB stick
Turn your favorite pics into a one-of-a-kind photobook. You will use your own digital photos and an online program to create a unique keepsake. Story lines or captions can be included or pictures can stand alone. Capture your middle school memories in this fun and creative class!

Outdoor and Indoor Games
Remember in elementary school, dashing out to the playground to be the first in line to play foursquare or tetherball? We are going to play some similar games that you may have enjoyed in elementary school. These games, however, are no longer for the elementary school student! We will play some modified, more advanced versions of games such as Capture the Flag, Nation Ball, Prisoner, etc. Come on out, reminisce about your childhood while playing some games that require strategy, skill, and team cooperation while having a blast during MarchTerm.
Mr. Stanton @ M-13 PM Class - Fee: None Class Size: 20
Students must provide their own skateboard and helmet.
Maybe you already know how to skate and want to improve your game so you can become the next Rob Dyrdek. Maybe you don't even know which foot is for pushing. Or, maybe it's just that you still want to be on a board since there was hardly any snow in Tahoe this year, the big winter swells have left and the spring sun is shining.
Whatever your ability or motivation, join us at Santa Cruz Skate Park and Grind Out Hunger. Mr. Guzman will partner with his brother and professional skateboarder, Emmanuel Guzman, to teach all different levels and abilities.
Mr. Guzman @ M-5 AM Class - Fee: None Class Size: 15
