Equestrian

"Horses have always been part of the MVC experience, starting way back in 1926. We love seeing our students riding during the school day; learning in action, right here at 2 School Way."

TRINITY RIVERS EQUESTRIAN
Located on the beautiful campus of Monte Vista Christian School, Trinity River Equestrian offers a unique opportunity for students to integrate equestrian endeavors into their academic school day. Trinity Rivers offers all levels of training and horsemanship: beginning through advanced riders can take lessons, enroll in Horsemanship for PE credit, and participate in many different extra- curricular equine activities including competition teams and clubs. Students may board their own horse, or Trinity Rivers provides safe, seasoned schooling horses for lessons or lease. Our on-campus Equestrian Center has two outdoor competition arenas, 2 barns, and a horse walker.

Trinity Rivers emphasizes the value of teamwork and responsibility with the common goal of riding well and caring for the horses. Trinity Rivers is open to the public after school and on the weekends.

HORSEMANSHIP PE
Horsemanship class is offered for $1,300 per semester or a monthly rate of $300/month. This is a great value for top quality training as students ride 3 days each week. Our horses are well trained and safety is our top priority. Students must own an approved helmet and riding boots with a heel. We have a locker room where their riding equipment will be kept, and they may change before riding. Register Here: https://www.whiterockranch.com/trinity-rivers-equestrian

COWBOY CLASS
We'll cover basic blacksmithing, roping, western horse riding, and good ol' fashioned horsemanship in a low pressure, fun environment!  This is a great opportunity for boys to experience horsemanship. This boys-only class will be taught by an authentic cowboy, and beginners are welcome! $700 for the semester. 6th grade students who choose this alternative elective will be automatically registered for the Exploratory Wheel for the second semester.

*Note: this is not the same as Horsemanship taken in lieu of Physical Health Education. Boys and Girls interested in that option, should reach out with that request (if they haven’t already done so) to melissamorales@mvcs.org.
