ASL (American Sign Language)
This introductory course teaches American Sign Language (ASL) as a visual language used for communication within the Deaf community. This course introduces students to American Sign Language (ASL) as both a language and a cultural experience. Students will focus on fundamental skills such as fingerspelling, foundational vocabulary, conversation structures, and grammar. The course promotes the development of both receptive and expressive sign language skills, emphasizing communication in everyday settings and understanding the Deaf community. Through hands-on practice, students will enhance their communication skills in ASL while gaining an understanding of the language’s cultural significance.

Advanced Graphic Design
In this course, students will refine and elevate their design techniques while exploring complex digital tools, emerging industry trends, and professional best practices. Building on foundational skills, learners experiment with advanced layout, typography, color theory, and image manipulation using software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. They also tackle real-world design challenges--creating brand identifies, marketing campaigns, and interactive media--to develop a polished, professional portfolio. Through critique sessions and collaborative projects, students sharpen their creative thinking, visual communication, and problem-solving abilities, preparing them for success in post-secondary design programs or creative industries.
