Technology
While it's great that we were the first school in the world to put iPads into the classroom, and it's great that we are now considered leaders in Educational Technology, ultimately, it is not about the tech. It's about the learning and all the ways that technology empowers meaningful, collaborative, creative, and unforgettable learning experiences.

iPad News
At MVC, we have a Bring Your Own iPad program for grades 6-12 (Lower Grades use classroom sets). Here is some useful information.
MVC's Apple Custom Store
You can shop for your Apple purchases through our Apple Custom Store and receive a small discount. Be sure to check the requirements below for your iPad purchase.
MVC's iPad & Electronic Device Acceptable Use Policy
Please read MVC's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Home Acceptable Use Policy (HAUP). The documents contain common questions and answers as well as guidelines concerning iPads, followed by a note to parents and a glossary of terms for your convenience.
For 2025 - 2026
All students attending MVC for the 2025 - 2026 school year will be required to bring their own iPads. We can't know how long a particular model will be supported and continue to receive updates, but based upon what we have seen so far, the models below under "Minimum required for a new iPad purchase..." should receive each for 3 or possibly more years. The iPad you use for school will always need to be capable of running the latest iOS version. It's always best to purchase a newer model, as it could mean multiple extra years of usability, in addition to smoother and more stable operation.
Minimum required (or newer) for a new iPad purchase for the 2025 - 2026 school year:
iPad 10.9" (A16-11th Generation- 2025) any storage capacity
iPad Air 11" or 13" (6th Generation- 2024) any storage capacity
iPad Air 11" or 13" (7th Generation- 2025) any storage capacity
iPad Pro 11" or 13" (7th Generation- 2025) any storage capacity
