Not only are we committed to empowering our boarding students in their academic excellence, we invite them into a community of care that they can call home.

LEARN ABOUT BOARDING LIFE
When MVC opened in 1926, 31 of its 45 students were boarding students. It reflected the school’s desire to provide a good education to students “regardless of whether they lived near or far.”
Through the decades, MVC has continued to draw learners from around the world. Today, approximately 10 percent of our high school student body are international students who live in our campus dormitories. International students live, study, and play within a community that provides support and supervision, while fostering independence and preparing them for university life. Our goal is to invite them into a community of care they can call home.
MVC also offers 5-day/week boarding for students from nearby areas, such as San Jose, San Francisco, and Morgan Hill. 5-day boarders benefit from the boarding life during the week and participate in their family home life on the weekends. This allows for extra hours in the day to spend on academics and extracurriculars rather than commuting. The 5 day boarding option is available to any student not requiring an I-20 visa. This option is not available to International students.
