General Information (all families)
2021-2022 Parent/Student Handbook - Families should familiarize themselves with the 2021-2022 Parent/Student Handbook. Be sure to review the sections that cover our dress code, code of conduct, and iPad/Electronics Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The updated 2022-2023 Parent/Student Handbook will be available by mid-summer.
Emergency Card/Medical Information - All MVC students are required to have updated emergency/medical information each year. Thank you for providing this important information with your 2022-2023 enrollment packet/enrollment update.
If you were not able to submit a copy of your child's immunization records (not including the COVID-19 vaccine) through your Admissions Account, please send a copy to the MVC School Nurse as soon as possible. Thank you for your part in keeping our student records updated. We will contact you if there are any necessary booster or updated vaccines.
Café Account - Students may purchase all meals and snacks on campus in the Café using their mySchoolBucks account. Credentials to create your account will be sent our by mid-July.
Calendar - Students, parents, and all Mustang fans are encouraged to use these step-by-step instructions to subscribe to whichever portion(s) of the online MVC calendar is/are most helpful. Events can be added directly to your personal calendar! Options include athletics teams, clubs, fine arts groups, and much more.
Car Drop Off/Pick Up Route - The drop-off and pickup route "Carline" takes place in the Senior Lot. This is where all student drop offs before school (7:45-8:25 am) and after school (M - Th at 3:15 - 5:30 pm/F at 2:10 - 5:30 pm) happen. For student drop off or pick up during school hours, check in at the Main Gate (Gate 2) and security will then direct you where to go. The campus opens for students at 7:45am and closes at 5:30pm.
Carpooling - Families interested in connecting with potential carpool partners for the 2022-2023 school year can do so via the Mustang Network. First you will need to create your account here. Be sure to fill out your profile completely including choosing the "Parent" profile. Once your profile is complete and you've been approved, you can log in, proceed to "Groups" and browse to select the community group that best fits your family.
Equestrian Program Information Session via Zoom - MVC parents and students interested in learning more about equestrian programming (both curricular and extracurricular) at MVC next school year were invited to join an information session via Zoom on Thursday, May 12. If you weren't able to attent, you are welcome to review the Zoom recording here (passcode: 7icHYt!y). For further information, please contact Gretchen Cortes.

iPads/Technology - All students attending MVC must bring their own iPads. Please refer to the information on our Technology page for specifications. Please pay particular attention to MVC's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for answers to common questions and guidelines concerning iPads. Student credentials to access Focus, our Student Information System, and set up other services at MVC will be sent to all new families before July 15, 2022.
Our ARC Team will be available on the following days/times to provide tech support and assist in iPad set up for our newest Mustangs.

Parent Volunteer Information - Parents interested in volunteering or chaperoning various trips and activities throughout the year will need to have a background check completed through the Live Scan process. Danielle Caldwell is available to assist you in getting set up to volunteer at MVC!
Summer Camp - Registration is open now for a variety of June day camps for all ages and interests. Check out the offerings and spread the word. Whether your child is interested in sports, fine arts, or general fun-and-games, there's something for everyone to enjoy this summer here on our beautiful campus. Remember, these camps are for both MVC and non-MVC students, so share them with your friends and family. Contact Kira Tellez (Athletics) or Morgan Perez (Fine Arts) with questions.
Transportation - Please visit the MVC Transportation Department webpage for general information on our transportation services. Bus ridership is guaranteed on a first-come, first-served basis, so families are encouraged to sign up by May 27, 2022. Routes and rates for 2022-2023 are available here. Confirmed stop assignments will be issued the week of August 1. Please contact Transportation Manager Kenneth Rothhammer with questions.
High School
Course Schedule - All new-to-MVC Mustangs have had the opportunity to go over your class interests during your admissions interview, when we took the first steps in creating your 4-year plan. You are welcome to contact your guidance counselor if you'd like to confirm your requests. Credentials to access Focus, our Student Information System, will be sent to each new family by July 15, 2022. Schedules will be available in Focus by August 1.

Flex in High School?
The Flex time that happens before school on Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 8:20 am is optional for High School students. They are welcome to be on campus and can go to their teachers' classrooms for help, visit the Café to get breakfast, or hang out in the ARC or Outdoor Student Center until their first class begins at 8:25 am.
High School Textbooks - Your textbook bundle is included in your tuition this year (a $275 value). Please keep in mind that not all courses use textbooks and some materials will be distributed by the teacher at a later date.
Summer School 2022 - Register now for a variety of classes in a variety of formats for Summer School 2022. Summer School is for all incoming 9-12 grade students. To register, please fill out the registration form, have your student check with his or her guidance counselor for course approval, and then turn it in or email it to the ARC.
Middle School
PE Uniforms - The BSN Store is not currently open; however, we will keep you posted as to when and how to obtain PE uniforms. All Middle School students, other than those in Horsemanship, will need a uniform for the school year. These uniforms may be used year after year in the Middle School.
Placement Assessments - All newly admitted MVC Mustangs entering into Grades 6 - 8 will be asked to take a math assessment to determine their current math level as we work on placement for Fall 2022. Please note that additional assessments may be necessary for other specific course placement(s). We will send you an invitation to register for your assessments as space is limited for each session.
Supply Lists - Supply lists for 6th Grade, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade will be available by mid-June.

8th Grade Washington D.C. Trip 2023 - Plans for the 8th Grade trip to Washington D.C. for spring of the 2022-2023 school year are underway. An informational Zoom meeting for parents of rising 8th graders took place on Wednesday, May 11. If you were unable to attend, here is the informational letter and Zoom recording.

Athletics Paperwork - Please make sure that you have all athletics paperwork completely filled out on Final Forms. Register now and electronically complete ALL forms!
Sideline Cheer Tryouts for Fall 2022
Tryouts for Sideline Cheer will be held Tuesday, May 17 through Thursday, May 19 from 3:45 pm - 5:45 pm in the Auxiliary Gym. Please make sure that you have all athletics paperwork completely filled out on Final Forms by the first day of tryouts. To sign up in Final Forms, select Sideline Cheer tryouts 2022 as the sport. Students with incomplete paperwork will not be permitted to attend tryouts until it is complete. Register now and electronically complete all forms! Contact Kira Tellez with questions.
